Bezari began life as a traditional stone house in the quiet hamlet of Metochia Fratzeskiana. Restored with care, it keeps its thick walls, timber ceilings and hand-built arches — while every comfort of a modern retreat has been folded quietly inside.

Two hundred square metres unfold across three bedrooms and three bathrooms, dressed in soft linens and plush towels. Beyond the terrace, the private pool draws your eye to a horizon of olive groves, red-tiled rooftops and the mountains of Rethymnon.

Well, what can be said here? Only that it is a wonderful place, unique. Beautiful, clean villa, swimming pool overlooking the valley and warm water at any time of day or night. Lots of nooks and crannies for spending free time and relaxing, barbecue, terraces and lots of plants. The hosts were extremely nice — they delivered fruit every few days and looked after the plants. Local tavernas are a few minutes away by car in every direction.
